The wellbeing project has been funded by South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation through a fund set up in memory of Molly Hurst who took her own life in 2017, aged 22.
Nicola’s confidence and self-esteem have grown and, although she is no longer a client of DHYP, she continues to volunteer for us.
Jane was 21 and living in temporary accommodation when she approached DHYP for support. After 18 months, Jane made the transition to independent living
Friendly, caring, always there for you, help as much as they can
Easy – they actually listen and take action right away
They have helped me grow up and become the adult I am today
They were always there whenever I needed them and pushed me to be where I am today
The prevention session delivered to my students was very informative and highlighted the support that is on offer to the young people of Doncaster
The quick response and commitment given from the staff to help my young client was so helpful and beneficial
Being a part of the Young Person’s Forum has really helped me develop my confidence
I don’t know where I’d be without DHYP
Thank you for helping me sort out my income so I could get a place to live
Thank you so much for your support to help me secure accommodation and not end up on the streets
