Progressions
Project
Providing support for young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or inadequately housed.
We can help you find somewhere to live, assist in setting up a tenancy, provide advice about budgeting and welfare benefits and refer you to other agencies for support if needed

Floating
Support
Through our floating support service, we can help you to set up and maintain a tenancy with advice and support on a range of issues including life skills, living independently, budgeting, welfare benefits, advocacy and referrals to other agencies.

Supported
Lodgings
A ‘’stepping stone’’ to independent living, with the young person living with a host family in Doncaster.
The young person has their own bedroom and shares bathroom and kitchen facilities with the family. Each young person is supported by both the Host and a DHYP Project Worker and has a tailored support plan with goals set by the young person themselves.

Wellbeing
Hub
We run a weekly Wellbeing Hub on a Thursday afternoon from our office on Chequer Road.
We provide a safe space to meet with and chat to other young people and to participate in different activities each week such as quizzes and arts and crafts.

Counselling
At DHYP, we recognise the importance of mental and emotional well-being, which is why we offer access to in-house counselling for the young people we support.
Our two dedicated counsellors and volunteers provide a safe, confidential space where individuals can talk through their challenges and emotions.
They offer:
- Tailored Support : Our in-house counsellors work closely with young people, offering personalised guidance based on their individual needs and experiences.
- Emotional Well-being : Counselling helps individuals manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, promoting emotional resilience.
- Building Confidence : Through regular sessions, young people can develop coping strategies, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of self-worth, empowering them to move forward with confidence.
- Easier Access : With counsellors based at DHYP, young people can receive the support they need without long waiting times or limited sessions and or complex referral processes.

Young
Persons Forum
DHYP puts the voice of young people at the heart of our organisation.
Our Young Persons’ Forum (YPF) provides the opportunity for young people to have their sayon the services DHYP provides and also on the wider issues affecting young people in Doncaster. The YPF is chaired by a client of the organisation and is open to all clients and non-clients aged 16-25.

Employment
Skills
Our employment skills project supports young people aged 16-25 who need support finding employment, apprenticeships, training programmes or volunteer opportunities.
We can assist with writing CVs, completing applications and preparing for interviews, all of which help young people to gain workplace skills and develop their confidence.

Supported
Housing
Our Supported Housing program provides young people with a safe and supportive environment as they take steps towards independent living.
We offer accommodation in two shared houses in Doncaster, each with three private bedrooms. Young people have their own room, while sharing communal spaces like the kitchen and bathroom with other residents.
With the guidance of a dedicated Housing Officer and a DHYP Project Worker, each young person develops a personalised support plan. This plan is tailored to their individual needs and goals, helping them gain essential life skills and confidence for a smoother transition to independent living.
